Atlanta's first public skatepark features world-class skateboard amenities, a playground and a multi-use athletic field. It was built with $25,000 contribution from Tony Hawk's foundation and has quickly become a popular destination for boarders of every level. The park also offers amenities such as benches, public restrooms, nighttime lighting, trash/recycling cans, and doggie waste bags. It is located near the Eastside Trail and Historic Fourth Ward Park, offering more recreational options. Next to the skate park there is a playground and large open field for sports.
